Dr. Angela Johnson is native to Middle Tennessee. After graduating from Southern College of Optometry as Valedictorian in 1999, Dr. Angela practiced for 5 years in Nashville and Clarksville. She met her husband, also an optometric physician, in 2004. With her husband, Dr. Angela owned and operated 2 private optometric offices for 10 years in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Using the latest in cutting edge technology and advanced eye care procedures was a large part of her professional development as a leading optometric physician in the area.
Moving back to Middle Tennessee was a dream of Dr. Angela’s. Her style is to always provide that bright smile that welcomes all her patients into her family oriented practice. Creating an atmosphere of confidence is of the utmost importance to Dr. Angela. With the most advanced medical equipment in the industry, combined with excellence in chair side manner that Dr. Angela provides, Essential Eye Care has quickly become the gold standard for optometric care in Middle Tennessee.
Dr. Kristen Davis was born and raised in West Tennessee. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Christian Brothers University in Memphis Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2018, she earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee. After graduating Optometry school, she moved to Middle Tennessee and has been practicing Primary Care Optometry in Smyrna and Murfreesboro for the last 4.5 years.
Dr. Davis is trained in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, such as cataracts and diabetic eye disease, and the prescribing of eye glasses and contact lenses, including monovision and multifocal contact lenses.
She currently lives in Murfreesboro with her husband, son and golden retriever. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, baking and taking care of her houseplants.
